Tristan's first day on the Job

Since I'm a stay at-home-mom + graphic designer mom, Tristan spends a lot of time helping me in the office. When I was pregnant I thought these baby carrier things looked...well, just—wierd. But, since we got it (made it) I get so much more done during the day. Sometimes he gets bored and decides to go to sleep. I love to hold a sleeping baby and type on the computer at the same time.

Did you say you made that? Was it hard to make? I really wanted one of those but never got one with Jackson. I want to get one whenever we have a 2nd baby.

Ya—we made it. We were researching wraps and found out this one was just a piece of fabric—2 x 18 feet. So, we just went and got 6 yards of clearance fabric (I think it was a jersey-knit). It has to be light weight (so it doesn't bunch up under the baby's legs and make him uncomfortable). It also works if it is really stretchy. What we used is basically really thin T-shirt fabric.

Retail these things are about $40 and we made two for $18. We were pretty proud of ourselves. There are a bunch of different ways you can tie it: http://www.mobywrap.com/t-instructions.aspx

They even have demo videos.
